PLAYSPACE: A PLACE TO READ, A PLACE TO RELAX, A PLACE TO CLIMB, A PLACE TO KICK A BALL, A PLACE TO WALK, A PLACE TO RUN, A PLACE TO JUMP, A PLACE OF FUN.
PLAYSPACE IS AN OPEN AIR PLAYGROUND WHERE KIDS CAN RUN AROUND WITHIN A CARVED OUT GROUND. THIS SCULPTED GROUND CONSISTS OF PASSAGEWAYS, WIDE PLATFORMS, AND 'SANDBOX' SPACES. THE HEAVINESS OF THIS CARVED OUT GROUND STANDS IN STARK CONTRAST WITH THE LIGHT, DELICATE CLIMBING BARS WHICH OUTLINE THIS CARVED OUT GROUND FROM ABOVE. THIS NETWORK OF BARS ALLOWS FOR A DIFFERENT READING OF THE GROUND GEOMETRY. FLOATING ABOVE THIS SCULPTED GROUND, THE BARS APPEAR QUITE ETHEREAL. THEY ARE DESIGNED AS AN ACTIVE SPACE WHERE KIDS CAN CLIMB ALONG THESE BARS AS THEY TRACE THE GEOMETRY OF THE GROUND BELOW.
